Community Pool Closure Notice
Effective immediately, the Tri-County POA swimming pool is closed due to a black algae infestation.
Recent heavy rainfall, fresh water entering the pool, and limited sunshine have created conditions favorable for algae growth.
Unfortunately, repeated rule violations have also contributed to water quality issues and increased strain on pool equipment and filtration systems.
Examples of rule violations observed at the pool have included:
•Food, ci******es, and alcoholic beverages being brought directly into the swimming pool.
•Watermelon becoming lodged in the robotic pool cleaner.
•Individuals entering the pool wearing pants, socks, and other street clothing.
•Swimmers repeatedly exiting and re-entering the pool without rinsing off dirt, grass, and other contaminants.
•Failure to follow posted pool rules and use the shower before entering the water.
Black algae requires extensive treatment and cannot be eliminated overnight. The pool will remain closed until treatment is complete and the water is safe for use.
The pool is a community amenity that requires everyone's cooperation to keep clean, safe, and open. We ask all residents and guests to follow the posted pool rules when the facility reopens.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation while treatment is completed.
Sincerely,
Tri-County Point POA
