Oxford Firefighters Local 4636 would like to extend our deepest condolences to our brothers and sisters of the Boston Fire Department, Local 718, and the family of Firefighter Robert “Bobby” Kilduff Jr. who gave his life battling a 3-Alarm fire last night in Dorchester.

Please keep his family and fellow firefighters in your thoughts during this challenging time.

On behalf of Oxford Firefighters IAFF Local 4634, we would also like to congratulate Stephanie Dvareckas on receiving the Central Mass EMS Corporation Communication Specialist of the Year Award.

Stephanie previously served the Town of Oxford as a Firefighter/EMT before beginning her career as a Communication Specialist 10 years ago. Her dedication, professionalism, and continued service to the community have made a lasting impact.

Congratulations, Stephanie, on this well-deserved recognition!

Congratulations to two members of Oxford Firefighters IAFF Local 4634 who were recognized at the Annual Central Mass EMS Corporation Awards Night.

FF/AEMT Scott Rudman was honored as the recipient of the AEMT of the Year Award, and Lt. Towne received the EMS Public Educator of the Year Award.

We are proud of their dedication, professionalism, and continued commitment to serving our community and the EMS profession.

The members of Oxford Firefighters IAFF Local 4634 extend our deepest condolences to the Massachusetts State Police and the family and friends of Trooper Kevin Trainer, who was tragically lost this week.
Our thoughts are with all those affected during this difficult time. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.

It’s funny how the days can feel long, but somehow the years fly by.

These two photos capture a 20-year journey in the fire service here in Oxford. In the photo on the left, you’ll see Firefighter Fitzgibbons and Firefighter Hudon early in their careers. Fast forward to today, and in the photo on the right, they’re now Captain Fitzgibbons, proudly leading Group 2, and Captain Hudon, leading Group 1 while also serving as our Training Officer.

Two decades of dedication, leadership, and service to this community—and somehow, not a single gray hair between them… and definitely no aches or pains to speak of (at least that’s what they’ll tell you).

We’re proud to have them leading the next generation and continuing to set the standard for the Oxford Fire-EMS.

Jessica Prefontaine, our sister union member of IAFF Local 4634, retired back in July after 25 years of faithful and honorable service to the Union and to Oxford Fire-EMS. Now it’s time to celebrate Jessica and all she has done with us!!! 🎉🍾🚒

🔥 Fire Safety Education Update! 🔥

Today we wrapped up our Fire Safety Education program at the Clara Barton School with the 4th graders! This group focused on Cooking Safety — one of the most important topics as they begin to take an interest in helping out in the kitchen.

We want to make sure they have the tools and knowledge to stay safe while cooking. Parents and guardians, be sure to ask your child what they learned today and encourage an open conversation about fire safety at home.
