Cindy Sheriff shared important insights regarding the roles of caregivers, discussing changes they may experience, building a support team and managing caregiver stress. This class on June 16 provided meaningful information for those who are (or may someday be) a caregiver, and empowered who may someday require care. Cindy, who has 30 years of experience in areas of behavioral health, wellness and eldercare and volunteers as an Alzheimer's Association advocate, is one of many speakers who have brought their expertise and knowledge to our Senior Class!

Senior Class meets at 4 p.m. every Tuesday and is part of the Senior Community Center's ongoing commitment to engaging people age 60 and older with lifelong learning. Learn more and register for upcoming classes by visiting our office at 1650 W. Second St., calling 270-687-4640 or online at https://forms.gle/oaXSYqm41zxTFSCs6

For many of us, pets are family. That’s why the Pet Meals on Wheels program helps seniors receiving Meals on Wheels care for the companion animals they love.

For clients living on a limited income, pet food support can ease financial stress and help ensure both the senior and their pet have the nourishment they need. It also helps protect a senior’s own food supply by reducing the likelihood of sharing meals meant for themselves.

A beloved pet can provide comfort, routine, and companionship, and this program helps keep those important bonds strong. When our community supports programs like Pet Meals on Wheels, we are caring for the whole household.
