This year we're thrilled to announce that we've partnered with Ottumwa Pride as well as the Ottumwa Legacy Foundation to host our June Skate Night!

The Ottumwa YMCA is looking for volunteers to help assist our Instructor for our Rock Steady Boxing Class on Tuesdays & Thursdays between 2:00pm - 3:30pm.

Rock Steady Boxing is a non-contact boxing program designed to help manage and slow the progression of Parkinson's disease and aims to improve the quality of life for those affected by it.

As our class size grows, volunteers would be tasked in assisting participants with footwork, coordination, strength training, and balance exercises as needed. As a volunteer you would get the opportunity to meet some amazing people and make an impact in their day to day life.

If you are interested in volunteering or participating in the class, please call our main line at 641-684-6571 so we can get you in contact with our Rock Steady Instructor.

📢 Kids Cove Hours Update 📢

Beginning in June, Kids Cove morning hours will be Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM.

We strongly recommend scheduling an appointment in advance. If no children are in Kids Cove at 12:30 PM, and there are no reservations for a later time, staff will be sent home and Kids Cove will close. The same applies for our evening hours at 6:30 PM. Appointments can be made by calling the Front Desk (641-684-6571) or emailing the front desk ([email protected]). We also will be posting Kids Cove Rules and Policies in the comments.
