Big things are taking shape at Vogel Heights! 🚜🏗️

If you've driven by lately, you've probably noticed the progress. Dirt is moving, infrastructure work is underway, and momentum continues to build on one of Ottumwa's most exciting housing developments.

Projects like Vogel Heights represent more than new homes—they represent investment in our community's future, expanded housing opportunities, and continued growth for the Ottumwa region.

Congratulations to River Hills Community Health Center on the opening of the new River Hills Family Practice Clinic! 🎉

The GOPIP Ambassadors were honored to celebrate with a ribbon cutting today as we welcomed this important addition to our community's healthcare network. Located at 921 Pennsylvania Ave., the clinic will help expand access to quality family healthcare services for residents throughout the Ottumwa area.

Thank you to the River Hills team for your continued commitment to improving the health and well-being of our region. We are excited to see the positive impact this new clinic will have on our community for years to come!

Today, the GOPIP Ambassadors joined community leaders, Amtrak representatives, and local partners to celebrate the completion of the new ADA-accessible platform at the Ottumwa Amtrak Station. 🚉✂️

This important investment improves accessibility, safety, and the overall passenger experience while reinforcing Ottumwa’s connection to transportation and economic opportunity across the region. We’re proud to celebrate another improvement that helps make our community more welcoming and accessible for everyone.

Today marked an important step forward for Ottumwa’s youth and future generations as community leaders, advocates, and partners gathered alongside Congressman Zach Nunn to celebrate a new federal investment in the Ottumwa Youth Hub initiative. This project represents more than just funding — it’s an investment in opportunity, mentorship, safe spaces, and brighter futures for young people in our community.

We are especially proud of GOPIP’s own Diana Dominguez, who has been a passionate advocate for local youth and played a meaningful role in helping move this vision forward. Seeing local leaders step up and fight for resources that directly impact families and students is exactly the kind of collaboration that creates lasting change.

We’re also grateful to our Executive Director and the many community partners, organizations, and elected officials who continue working together to build a stronger Ottumwa for everyone. Today was a reminder that when a community rallies around its youth, incredible things can happen.

🇺🇸 Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. On this Memorial Day, we reflect with gratitude and pride on their service and dedication.

In observance of the holiday, our office will be closed today, Monday, May 25. We will reopen with normal hours on Tuesday.
