A great afternoon yesterday at the Eis House in Mexico--a benefit for Casey's Cottage by the Friends of Mexico Point Park. Always a treat to get to hear Dick Drake and 8th & Lake! (Mark your calendars for July 31 when the band will be at Junco Brewing.)

Thanks to SUNY Oswego's Sigma Tua Chi alumni for inviting the HFOC board to hold our monthly meeting in and give us a tour their house, the former Pardee House at 8 Montcalm Street. We saw the care that had gone into restoring this historic home and keeping it a highlight of the Montcalm neighborhood. (Pictured is Jeff Langdon: noting work done on the house's entrance; posing with HFOC President Thomas Reynolds by the newly installed alligator statue--the fraternity's mascot.)

We'll be posting photos of the 1850 House, on Oswego's East Side. This one, from August 2017, shows the property before it was restored. At the time, it was on our list of Endangered Buildings and community members and organizations such as Save Oswego's Historic Sites lobbied and collected petition signatures for its preservation and renewal.
