🎓🐾 June Goes to School — episode 3! 🐾🎓
As you can see, June LOVES the company of other dogs! 🐶❤️ She is having so much fun with her friends and really shines when she gets the opportunity to socialize and play! June is also the perfect size at just 31 pounds!
We are continuing to work through her hesitancy around humans, but she is making amazing progress and really growing! 🌟 Every day, our sweet June is becoming more confident and showing us just how special she is.
We are SO proud of you, June! ❤️🐾 Keep growing, sweet girl!

🎉🐾 Congratulations to SallyRide! 🐾🎉
Our sweet girl has landed herself an amazing forever family—and she even has a PAOC alumni canine sister to show her the ropes! ❤️
We couldn't be happier for SallyRide and are certain she is going to have an incredible life filled with love.
Now we are hoping her siblings, Yuri and Sputnik, will soon be just as lucky and find their own amazing forever families! 🏡❤️

We are incredibly grateful that PAOC was chosen as the recipient of their 50/50 raffle! ❤️
And the generosity didn’t stop there—the lucky winner generously donated their half back to PAOC! 🥹🐾
Thanks to this amazing group, $600 was raised to help the animals in our care! ❤️

🐾 WHAT A DAY! The Fast & Furriest 5K was a HUGE success! 🐾❤️
Our inaugural Fast & Furriest 5K brought together an incredible crowd of animal lovers, runners, walkers, families, volunteers, and supporters—all coming together for one very important cause: the animals of Paws Across Oswego County! 🐶🐱
A HUGE thank you to the Fulton Elks Club for their continued generosity and for helping make this event possible. Your support of PAOC means so much to us!
🏒 We were thrilled to have the Oswego Women’s Hockey Team join us and bring even more energy and fun to the day!
📣 And how could we forget 92.1 The Wolf, who kicked off our shotgun start with the WOLF HOWL?! 🐺 What an unforgettable way to start the race!

🐾 Introducing Roxie! 🐾
Roxie’s story is one that breaks our hearts. 💔 She was dumped in a soft-sided carrier next to a garbage can, where her cries for help went unanswered for several days. Thankfully, someone finally did the right thing and contacted authorities, and Roxie was rescued.
Roxie spent 10 days being cared for at B&R Bunkhouse before making her way to PAOC. Huge thank you to Margie at Paws & Effect Inc. for her loving care during Roxie's grooming. We are certain Roxie feels so much better and boy does she look amazing! Today, Rosie had her first veterinary exam with us. We were concerned about a possible pyometra, but thankfully, X-rays confirmed that is not the case. Bloodwork was also done, and we’re hoping to have those results tomorrow.
Her body certainly appears as though she may have been bred in the past, but there is still so much we don’t know about her history.
What we DO know is that Roxie is an incredibly sweet girl! ❤️ She has met a couple of cats and other dogs and, so far, has been 100% good with everyone she encounters.
Whatever sadness Roxie knew before, that chapter is over. Her life is changing now. She will be safe, cherished, cared for and, most importantly, she will NEVER be tossed out with the garbage again. 🐾❤️
