It often takes us a little time to share about our Holiday Project because we’re overwhelmed—in the very best way. This project truly reflects our name. This community DOES care. We are so proud to play a part in bringing together generous sponsors and donors to support families in need.
This is by far our biggest project of the year—and the one that takes the most heart, time, and community effort. Everything comes together on distribution day, when the long hours fade away as we watch car after car—loaded to the max—drive off carrying gifts and food to families.
We are incredibly grateful for every single sponsor, volunteer, and donor—many of whom showed up in all three roles! Because of you, 78 families and nearly 200 children will have presents and joyful memories this holiday season.
As always, we are so thankful for our partnership with Lt. Kris Kearns and the Oswego Fire Protection District for allowing us to “shop” the Toys for Tots gifts to supplement each child’s gift bags. Every year, they move their trucks outside so we can sort and distribute in the truck bays. On a frigid day like yesterday, this is no small task—but they do it with smiles on their faces. We truly could not do this project without their support.
We also want to give special thanks to Sarah Berning and all of the SD308 Social Workers who identify families and assist with registration and communication. Your care and dedication make all the difference.
We are deeply grateful to the generous corporate and personal donors who helped us purchase food and teen gifts:ďż˝
