📣An Important Update on the Future of PWC Oshkosh📣

After thoughtful consideration, member feedback, and reflection on the future sustainability of our Chapter, the PWC Oshkosh Board has formally begun the Chapter dissolution process, with a proposed closing date of December 31, 2026.

While bittersweet, we view this as an opportunity to celebrate an incredible legacy! For decades, PWC Oshkosh has helped women connect, grow, lead, and support one another throughout our community.

Our PWC Bylaws require an open forum and membership vote before dissolution can occur. This process also provides another opportunity for members who believe PWC Oshkosh should continue, and who are willing to step forward to help lead it, to do so. We will be sharing details about that meeting and the next steps with you soon.

Whatever comes next, we are incredibly proud of what PWC Oshkosh has built and, especially, of all the women who made it possible!

💜 Happy Women’s Equality Day! 💜On this day 106 years ago, the 19th Amendment was officially certified, guaranteeing that "the right to vote could not be denied on the basis of s*x". American Women gained their right to Vote!

In 1973, Congresswoman Bella Abzug (one of just 16 women serving in the U.S. House of Representatives at the time) championed the designation of August 26 as Women’s Equality Day to commemorate this significant milestone in the long journey toward equality.

Today is a day to celebrate how far women have come while also remembering that progress rarely happens all at once or in a straight line.

The promise of the 19th Amendment did not immediately extend meaningful voting access to all American women. Native American women, Black women, Chinese American women, Hispanic and Latina women, and others continued to face barriers to citizenship and voting long after 1920.

As professional women, we are part of that continuing story. We benefit from generations of women who challenged barriers, created opportunities, found their voices, and helped us all move forward!
