Children from our neighborhood are welcome to the Old Fashioned Children's Christmas Party. Call Bill C by December 7 and RSVP the number of children who are coming.

Sunday, December 14th from 1-3pm. Santa and his neighbor elves will be leading activities, telling stories, and giving away gifts. Indoor family fun for the holidays.

Vel Phillips Middle School is in the Historic Jackson Neighborhood and we support this fundraiser for the new "House System". We hope people come from all over the city.

A wonderful family home built in 1890 is for sale in our Historic Jackson Neighborhood. Further research on the Wis. Historical Society describes this home: "This is a two story, cross gable house with clapboard siding. Rising from a coursed, stone block foundation, it has a full-width, gabled porch supported by three clusters of squared posts. The most distinctive features on this structure are the small, pent roofs with bracketed eaves that are set in each gable peak." It also has a 2-car carriage house built 1890-1910!

This 1589 square feet Single Family home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It is located at 1638 Jackson St, Oshkosh, WI.

Although the yard signs are non longer up, please remember to drive carefully through our neighborhood. A pedestrian who was hit by an inattentive driver on Monday was taken to the hospital. A human body does not have a chance against a 2-ton vehicle traveling 30 miles an hour.

This wonderful paint project on this darling bungalow has perked up the north end of our Historic Jackson Neighborhood. Neighborhoods are revitalized one house at a time. We hope those who travel through our neighborhood, the Gateway from the North, will enjoy the many historic architectural styles from the 1860s to the 1930s.

Sunday, September 28 is National "Good Neighbor Day". If we all decided to choose one idea, it would make a difference in our Historic Jackson Neighborhood.

Today is the beginning of an 8-month detour around the Main Street Bridge. You may decide to use the Jackson/Oregon Street Bridge or the Wisconsin/Ohio Street Bridge. Thank you for driving safely through our neighborhood. Maybe you'll see a historic house you'd like to live in. Cheers!

CONSTRUCTION REMINDER: Construction on Main Street Bridge (US 45) begins next week on Tuesday, September 2. Plan ahead for detour routes and remember to always drive with caution when traveling through construction zones.
