Had the privilege of touring just some of the ways the OUSD is integrating the arts in our school district. It was great to see the 72 member Orcutt Academy Band, the OA theater class getting ready for their next production of Xanadu, seeing how dance is integrated into PE classes in the elementary schools, and music is taught to our youngest students, and lastly, how the visual arts are being introduced to every student in every school. Eric and I were so impressed by the work that OUSD and the Orcutt children’s Arts foundation is doing in our community.

Today we remember the reason why we exist, on what would have been Ian’s 33rd birthday. We hope we have made him proud.
