Real progress takes time. When East African Legislative Assembly reintroduced the EAC Counter Trafficking in Persons Bill, we had the privilege of being a part of this important move towards justice.

First passed in 2016, the Bill remained unfinished for nearly a decade. Now, it moves forward again.

- And strengthening the case for a unified regional response

What does it look like when data meets care? In the Philippines, at-risk youth are seeing real, measurable change. EverFree is proud to mark the completion of the Alternative Learning System (ALS) Support Program in the Philippines, funded by the British Embassy Manila in partnership with the Department of Education.

Vulnerable children are increasingly exploited and abused online. But access to effective care and resources can prevent this. Through EverFree's Freedom Lifemap each student was able to identify their needs and vulnerabilities, build on their strengths, and receive interventions that made a real difference:

↓ 45% decrease in chats with strangers online
↓ 100% decrease in sharing personal or financial details online
↓ 81% decrease in exposure to sexual content or messages

A huge congratulations to the ALS students, and our utmost gratitude to their instructors, the British Embassy of Manila, and the Department of Education for making this possible.

Last week, EverFree CEO Kelsey Morgan had the honor of taking the stage at Women of the Channel West. There is something distinct about a room where every single person has already decided the status quo is not good enough. That is the room Women of the Channel creates. And we are deeply grateful Kelsey got to be a part of it.

In her remarks, Kelsey spoke about refusing to accept that the world's hardest problems are unsolvable. That conviction is a lot easier to hold when you're surrounded by women who embody it: leaders who don't just talk about impact, but move toward it with intention and urgency.

She was joined by our dear friend of , a perfect example of someone who built a movement towards change rather than waiting for it to happen.

This Mother’s Day, we honor mothers and mother figures who have persevered and led their families into better futures. Mothers like Gemma*, who came to EverFree pregnant and alone, but with an unshakeable determination to build a life for her and her daughter. She dreamt of the things many of us take for granted: a safe home, stability, independence.

Gemma attended every single session of EverFree’s Economic Empowerment Program. That’s how much it meant to her to see a way forward. And, when Gemma walked the stage for her graduation, her caseworker cradled her new baby girl in the audience. In that moment, two lives changed at once.
