Chapman University Fraternity and Sorority Life However, Greek Life contributes to more than just those students involved in a fraternity or sorority.

Greek Life at Chapman University serves as a resource for anyone interested in the Greek community, and is committed to upholding and promoting the highest ideals of Greek organizations. Our Greek community provides invaluable educational experiences that complement academic lessons, creating a true holistic educational environment for its members. Students involved in Greek organizations practically apply communication, management, financial, public relations, and project coordination theories on a consistent basis, while building friendships and networking connections that last a lifetime. Chapman’s Greek community donated more than 1,000 hours and $30,000 to local and national philanthropic causes in 2010-2011. Additionally, Greeks consistently account for a majority of student leadership positions on campus, including: Orientation Coordinators / Assistants, Associated Students officers, Residence Advisors, and Student and Campus Life Staff members – making the Greek community one of the largest leadership areas

Huge congratulations to our last Senior Spotlight, from ! 🎓 Here’s some words from me:

“Greek Life has by far been the most defining part of my Chapman experience. Coming in as a first-generation student, I had no idea what to expect, and I definitely never expected to become as involved as I did. But through Greek Life, I found my best friends, my family at Chapman, and learned so much along the way.

I had the opportunity to serve as President of Delta Tau Delta, VP of the Interfraternity Council for two years, President of Order of Omega, and Greek Leadership Assistant for two years, each role giving me the chance to work closely with the community and learn from so many amazing people.

From late nights planning events to meeting people across every chapter and helping lead organizations that truly shaped my college experience, Greek Life has given me memories and friendships I’ll carry long after graduation.

My advice to incoming students: put yourself out there. The past four years have gone by so fast, and I’m so happy looking back at everything I did, the people I met, and the memories I made. Take the leap and rush even if you aren’t sure, because there are so many incredible chapters here. Being part of the Greek Life community is such a special thing, and I’m so grateful for every moment it gave me.”

Our next Senior Spotlight goes to our very own Lead GLA from . 🎓🎓 Here’s some words from her:

“Chapman Greek Life is truly like no other. Coming to Chapman, I had no idea how to involve myself or meet people who had similar interests and values as me. When joining Delta Gamma, I immediately felt a sense of home. But, it wasn’t until I involved myself even deeper within Greek Life where I felt as though I was truly getting the most out of my college experience.

I’ve served on DG executive board, participated in numerous philanthropy events on campus, worked in the Greek Leadership Office for 2 years, and fully immersed myself within the Greek culture at this school. College is really what you make of it, and if I hadn’t pursued all of these different kinds of roles and opportunities, I don’t think I would be the person I am today or gotten to this point.

My best advice to anyone questioning whether to join Greek Life or branch out of your comfort zone, is to just say YES! You’re never going to know until you try, and 4 years goes by in the blink of an eye at Chapman. You’re never going to wish you did less!!!”

Our next Senior Spotlight goes to from !! Here are a few words from him:

“Being a part of Greek Life has completely changed my entire perception of life to be honest. As the Founding President of Sigma Chi, I had the opportunity to help build something from the ground up, create traditions, and bring together a group of amazing men. Watching the chapter grow into the community has felt extremely rewarding. I’ve watched greek life evolve as i’ve been in it to something so incredible that I will never forget, every greek organization has made an positive impact on me of some sort and i will always be grateful, Im very very sad I have to let it go as Im writing this. Words can’t explain how much it means to me to be apart of something bigger than myself.

Outside of Sigma Chi, I’m a senior studying computer science and game development. I’ve always been passionate about building something, creating and holding leadership, building connections, and staying true to my values and who I love.

Starting a chapter taught me a lot  about who I
was, what I was capable of, and what I really needed to work on through time. After graduation, I plan to continue pursuing opportunities in game development.

I love every single person I have ever met in Chapman’s greek life community, I’m extremely grateful to have been apart of it, and been able to serve it at a higher level.

Some general advice: You never know what can happen from something that felt so inherently insignificant, take risks, and do things that you felt like you would never do, pushing yourself and your limits will always be the only way to grow, even if it feels uncomfortable in the moment. Be apart of something bigger then yourself

With So Much Love to Everyone Apart Of this Community,

Anthony”

Our next Senior Spotlight goes to one of our GLAs, from ! Here are some words from her:

“Greek Life has opened up so many opportunities for me during my time at Chapman. Joining Pi Phi was especially meaningful because both of my older sisters were Pi Phis, so becoming part of the Chapman chapter felt really special.

Transferring to a new school where I barely knew anyone was scary, but the girls in Pi Phi welcomed me with open arms and quickly became some of my best friends. Through Pi Phi, I served as Director of Service and Philanthropy, where I planned Arrowspike and led literacy activities at Cambridge Elementary School, helping donate over 100 books to local students. This past year, I also had the honor of serving as one of the Greek Leadership Assistants, which allowed me to further connect with and support the Chapman Greek community.

Outside of Greek Life, I ’m a Political Science major with a minor in Law and Liberal Arts, and after graduation I plan to stay in Orange County and pursue a career in the legal field.

My advice to incoming students is to get involved and say yes to opportunities within Greek Life, even if they seem intimidating at first. The friendships, leadership experiences, and community you build can end up shaping your entire college experience in the best way.”

Huge congratulations to our next Senior Spotlight 🎓🎓 from ! Here’s a few words from her: Greek life has given me so many opportunities and I could not be more grateful for the impact it’s had on my time at Chapman. I’ve had the pleasure of holding various leadership positions within this community that have helped me grow so much as a person both personally and professionally. Experiencing and contributing to how tight knit and supportive this community is was so rewarding, with my time serving as the Vice President of Recruitment for Panhellenic in particular being the most wonderful experience I could’ve asked for! Executing sorority formal recruitment at Chapman is perhaps one of my most fond memories in my time here, and I’ll never forget the feeling of watching our girls run home at the end of it! After Chapman, I’ll be pursuing a career in clinical Psychology, and I am so excited to take with me everything I’ve learned from this community. I’ve absolutely loved all the people I’ve met and worked with along the way, and I could not be more appreciative for Chapman Greek Life. Greek life love always!!
