Hi friends of ESCADV! ESCADV is hosting another Coordinated Community Response Team meeting at the Chincoteague Public Library on June 11th, from 6pm to 8pm. We will be discussing practical tools for supporting survivors of sexual and domestic violence. These meetings are a way to come together as a community to create a safer, stronger community. CHINCOTEAGUE ISLAND, VA - [April 8, 2026] - The Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that voting is now open for the 2026 Beacon Awards through April 30, 2026, to recognize and celebrate businesses and organizations that are going above and beyond to make a positive impact on the Chincoteague Island community.

The Beacon Awards honor excellence in leadership, service, and community involvement. Nominees represent the best of Chincoteague—those who shine a light on others through their commitment, creativity, and compassion.

The Chamber extends heartfelt thanks to those who took the time to submit nomination ballots. We are truly inspired by the outpouring of appreciation for so many deserving members of our community. With so many doing remarkable work each and every day, narrowing the list to this year’s finalists was no easy task. Each nominee reflects the heart and soul of Chincoteague, and we are grateful for their dedication and spirit.
