We were so sorry to learn of the fire at WESR Radio early this morning.

For generations, WESR has been a trusted source of news, weather, and connection across Virginia’s Eastern Shore. In moments of both celebration and uncertainty, local radio plays a vital role in keeping our community informed and connected.

We are grateful that no injuries were reported and extend our sincere thanks to the many volunteer fire companies and first responders who responded so quickly.

We are thinking of Charlie and Will Russell and the entire WESR team as they work to restore service, and we look forward to hearing them back on the air soon. In the meantime, we encourage everyone to stay connected through ShoreDailyNews.com and support this important local resource however you can.
