Just a Check-In ❤️

Hey Upstream Youth! 👋🏼

Just a little reminder today: YOU MATTER. More than you probably realize.

Your age doesn’t determine your impact. You don’t have to wait until you’re older, more experienced, or have everything figured out for God to use you. Right now, right where you are, your life can be an example to the people around you.

1 Timothy 4:12 reminds us not to let anyone look down on us because we are young, but to set an example in our speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity.

So today, we just wanted to check in and remind you:

❤️ You are loved.
🙏🏼 You are needed.
✨ You have purpose.
🙌🏼 God can use you NOW.

Whatever kind of week you’re having, don’t forget that you have a church family cheering you on and praying for you.

Keep showing up. Keep being you. Keep letting God work through you. We’re proud of you, Upstream Youth! 🫶🏼

Things Got a Little… Messy! 😂💦

Mrs. Kasi definitely knows how to come up with a game! 😂🙌

One of the highlights of our Upstream Youth Back to School Bash had Mrs. Amanda and Mrs. Kara suited up in goggles and trash bags, completely BLINDED and standing ready for whatever Brother Shawn and Brother Adam were about to throw at us! 👀😂

The challenge? From a distance, Brother Shawn and Brother Adam would TOSS mystery liquids straight into our mouths while we tried to figure out what we were tasting! 🤣🥴 First one to guess it correctly got the point!

And let’s just say… some of those mystery flavors were DEFINITELY not five-star cuisine! 🤢😂

In the end, Mrs. Amanda and Brother Shawn brought home the WIN for the high schoolers! 🏆🎉 But that victory came with a price… a TERRIBLE taste of VINEGAR and FRENCH DRESSING! 🤮😂

Thank you, Mrs. Kasi, for always coming up with creative (and slightly questionable 😂) ways to make memories! We’re already wondering what you’ll come up with next! ❤️

Back to School Bash 🎉💦

What an AMAZING night at our Upstream Youth Back to School Pool Party! 🙌☀️

We had amazing food 🍔, pool time 🏊‍♀️, an epic volleyball game 🏐, water gun fights 💦🔫, door prizes 🎁, and so much incredible fellowship! And yes… the sponsors even managed to beat some of the youth at volleyball! 😂🏐

Most importantly, we’re so thankful for the opportunity to spend time together, make memories, laugh, and kick off another school year surrounded by an amazing youth family. ❤️

A HUGE thank you to Pastor Randy and Mrs. Kasi for opening up their home and hosting such a fun night for our students! We appreciate you both so much! ❤️

Here’s to a GREAT school year, Upstream Youth! 📚✏️

Upstream Youth had a great time at the Back to School bash hosted by Calvary Baptist! We got to eat delicious burgers, worship our amazing God, and hear a great message about how we should respond when our feet are held to the fire! Thank you Calvary for inviting us and putting this on! We have a great time!!!

Calvary Baptist Okmulgee has invited Upstream Youth to their back to school bash on Wednesday August 12. We will meet at the MAIN church Clearview campus at 5:30 to ride over there and will be back there shortly after 8.
