Council 2: Deepening the Practice

This workshop delves into the specific forms of council suited for a variety of situations and explores the joys and challenges of bringing council into different parts of our lives. It offers a chance to develop more skills with “reading the field” and “witnessing”

We recommend the prerequisite of Council Training I, along with practice facilitating and sitting in councils.

In this training you’ll explore how to facilitate council circles, give voice to your story, listen with curiosity, and cultivate compassion — all rooted in the Ojai Foundation tradition.

Shai Ardebilchi intuitively weaves sound as it travels through space using quartz crystal singing bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, tubular chimes, gongs, drums and other percussive and recorded sounds. This sounds bath is an invitation to slow down and connect with your senses, with each other, and with the world around us. All participants are invited to join our Community Kiva Fire immediately following the Sound Bath!
