Ojai Community Farmers' Market Mission: To provide access to healthy food, cultivate community and promote education. That would support local farmers, food artisan and makers alike.

A handful of engaged community members listened to it's community needs for an Ojai Midweek Farmers Market. Our vision is to educate consumers about our food system, hold space for farmers and producers to interact directly with their customers, and partner with our local schools to promote healthy lifestyles and deeper community connection.

📚 The library is meeting you at the market!

While the Ojai Library is temporarily closed for renovations, the Ventura County Mobile Library is helping keep library services accessible right here in our community with weekly visits to the Ojai Community Farmers Market. 💚

Stop by this Thursday to browse, check out or return materials, pick up holds, and connect with library resources while you shop the market.

We’re especially grateful to Ventura County Library for making the market one of its regular Ojai stops during the renovation. It’s one more way our Thursday market can be a place to shop, gather, learn, and stay connected. 🌱📖

A little look back at our first POP day last Thursday 🌱🍅

Our young participants got to cook, taste seasonal produce, learn where their food comes from, and spend some time connecting with our farmers market community.

Thank you to everyone who helped make our first POP program so special — and to all the kids who joined us! 💚

We can’t wait to do it again.

Next POP dates:

IT’S MARKET DAY — AND OUR FIRST POP DAY! 🍅🌿

Today is an extra special Thursday at the Ojai Community Farmers Market as we welcome our very first Power of Produce (POP) cooking experience for kids ages 7–17.

Kids will meet local farmers, learn what’s in season, cook with fresh ingredients, and take home a recipe — plus receive $10 in POP Market Money to shop for seasonal produce at the market. 💚

For today’s Garden Bruschetta recipe, we’re especially grateful to MAMA TREE for generously donating the olive oil, along with our market farmers helping provide the fresh produce. This is exactly what POP is about — connecting kids with the people, ingredients, and community behind their food.

And don’t forget our FREE produce raffle! 🎟️🥕
Today’s winner will be announced at 5 PM.
Stop by the info booth to enter before then.

We’re proud to bring Power of Produce (POP) to Ojai in collaboration with the Ojai Valley Hospital Foundation. 💚

As a nonprofit supporting local healthcare and community wellness, the Foundation’s impact reaches beyond the hospital walls. Through partnerships like POP, they’re helping create opportunities for local kids to connect with fresh food, healthy habits, and the community around them.

One of the things kids will explore at POP is what it means to eat seasonally — choosing fruits and vegetables that are naturally growing and being harvested at that time of year. Seasonal produce is often fresher, full of flavor, and gives kids a chance to understand where their food comes from and how it connects to the farmers who grow it. 🌱🍅

At POP, kids will meet local farmers, discover what’s in season, cook with fresh ingredients, try something new, and build confidence in the kitchen.

We’re so grateful to the Ojai Valley Hospital Foundation for helping make this program possible and for investing in healthier kids and a stronger community.

Our first POP recipe is almost here 🍅🌿

At Thursday’s Power of Produce cooking experience, kids will make Garden Bruschetta using fresh, seasonal ingredients inspired by what’s available right here at the market.

They’ll get to cook alongside Erika Elizondo, try something new, and take the recipe home to make again with their family.

And a big thank you to our market farmers for helping provide the fresh produce, and to Mama Tree for donating the olive oil. 💚
