Costco has soft, cozy blankets in gender-neutral colors for **$10 in warehouses or $12.99 online**, with a purchase limit of 10.

For a child facing difficult times, a blanket of their own can bring comfort at bedtime and a reminder that someone cares.

Well, I’ve talked to more adults than children about this matter. I’ve had adults. Tell me when they were a kid. They didn’t have a blanket of their very own. They use their clothing and wrapped it around their arms and legs to keep warm at night. That’s why I do a blanket drive every year.
And you know what? Some of the teachers have told me those kids will carry their blanket to school with them because they KNOW they will still have it at night. 🙁
If you’d like to participate, we have a Walmart and an Amazon link that you can ship very easily to our address.
Or you can drop it off at our physical office office in Oceanside. If you could please take all the packaging and roll it up. It makes it easier for us to deliver to the kids. It’s less bulky and weighs less. Please no pastel colors or white blankets. They get DIRTY dirty! Thank you 😊

People all over the country would say, if I lived by you, I’d be helping you.
Well… now you can! And we made it real easy for you to just go shopping on Amazon and send us some Chef Boyardee
Kids love it! Thanks so much!

Lake Elementary School ROCK STAR assembly today, honoring the kids and each grade for their exemplary reading skills and they gave Got Your Back San diego an award for 15 years serving their children at the school. It was given from the PTA for long-standing service.
I wish I would’ve had a moment to express our humble appreciation and to thank all of our volunteers who help GYBSD doors stay open. Bill and I couldn’t do this without our many helping hands. 🙌
As I was leaving there, a few parents caught up with me to tell me their story and how they appreciate the food their children receive.
One of the things I love about what we do is that we get to hear those stories and the impact a single bag of food makes in a child’s life, and to the entire family. It’s our “WHY.”
15 years…. And sometimes we meet a now, young adult who tell us their story of being in grade school years ago and how much that weekly bag of food meant to them. 😊

Hey y’all! We’ve been blessed! 🙌

The San Diego Food Bank just donated a brand-new refrigerator/freezer for the Got Your Back San Diego warehouse!

Now we just need one more blessing—a plumber who would be willing to volunteer a little time to run/hook up a water supply line for the ice maker.

If you’re a plumber—or know someone who might be willing to help—please send me a message.

Thank you for helping us continue taking care of local kids! ❤️

Four years in a row, Dutch Bros coffee contributes one dollar for every drink sold on one day. This year is September 18 all day long in four locations in OCEANSIDE and Vista.
We’re so grateful for this great organization for the leadership the employees get and how they make a difference in this community and serve with such cheerfulness! Thank you, Sydney and Kaitlyn Krall who started Buck4Kids for Got Your Back San Diego. Cheers to a 4th successful event.
