Mid month report because we, team WBS, passed a million European Green Crab caught in Willapa Bay for 2026, so far, with the 15,085 caught tonight.
One boat, 4 people, trapping in our spare time did this. Imagine what we could do if we had been trapping full time?
We are a shellfish farm and that comes first because that's what pays the bills.
I don't know what other crews are getting, but it's a lot.
Lots more to talk about here, but not tonight. I'm too tired.
Just wanted to share that WBS passed 1,000,000 EGC for this year tonight.

Thank you Marshall Read and everyone who came to hear him speak about the city of Ocean Shores efforts to protect our coastline from erosion. It was informative and enlightening!

But as Marshall stressed, it is an ongoing effort. There is no quick fix or one-and-done solution.

Shout out to the people behind the scenes getting the funding, putting in the time, and dedicated to protecting our city shorelines!
