10/1. Mack was neutered, vaccinated and microchipped today. This boy is raring to go to his forever home. Interested in meeting Mack? Shoot me a private message or a text at 360.580.9927. Vivian. 🐾

9/21. Mack (Truck) was checked into The Salty Dog Animal Rescue, Ocean Shores, last week, for running around the Grey Gull.
No one has come to claim him. His 72 hour stray hold is up.
Mack has an appointment to be neutered, vaccinated and microchipped in November. I am hoping to get that moved up sooner.
He may be an XL Bully. I will be doing a DNA test on him. He is estimated to be around 1-2 years of age.
He has a good temperament but can, at times, show dominance over the other shelter dogs.
As always, prospective adopters will be evaluated for having the perfect match for his forever family and home.
Vivian is his contact person and can be reached at 360.580.9927. 🐾

Marleigh and I got up early this morning and headed to Port Angeles to meet a family interested in her.
It was a lovely drive up SR101, although a bit foggy.
Bob and Susie met us outside as we pulled up. Marleigh immediately went to Susie then gave Bob the side eye. 😉
We headed to the backyard where Maremma sheepdog pup, Layla, was awaiting us.
It didn’t take but a few seconds for them to be sniffing, exploring and zooming around the yard.
Marleigh claimed a large stuffy and did her best to keep Layla from taking it back. Layla finally gave up.
Marleigh decided Bob is an OK guy.
We went inside the house where Marleigh chowed down on Layla’s kibble, claimed a bone and buried it in the couch.
I didn’t even need to sneak out of the house. Marleigh made it clear she was home. 🐾❤️🐾

Best day at The Salty Dog Animal Rescue in a while. Our very favorite little black dog, Wiggles, was adopted today into her forever home. We will miss her but she will be living in Ocean Shores so I’m sure we will see her now and again. 🐾❤️🐾

Wiggles, and quite frankly, everyone who meets her, can’t figure out why she hasn’t been adopted into her forever home.
She came to The Salty Dog Animal Rescue after being abandoned on SR109.
She was initially worried about being at the shelter, but quickly turned into the best little wiggle butt. She loves everyone and gets along with all dogs that she meets.
She has been spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She is house trained. She rides very well in cars. She is around 1 year of age.
She loves long walks and has recently been joining me on bike rides in the forest.
She is an active girl who would thrive with a family that includes her in their activities.
A fenced yard is a must to keep her safe when she is outside.
She would love a forever family of her own where she is welcomed into their hearts and home. In return, she will give many years of gratitude.
Interested folks can reach out to Vivian via Facebook messenger or phone at 360.580.9927. 🐾

Marleigh has been at The Salty Dog Animal Shelter in Ocean Shores far too long.
She came to us last May after she had been abandoned by her person. She was very thin and scared, not knowing what would happen to her.
She has since put on weight and is a happy girl. She loves the shelter volunteers. In fact, she seems to love everyone she meets. She gets along well with the other shelter dogs.
She loves long leash walks and really enjoys running next to my bicycle and me in the forest.
She is a big, strong girl and can get overly excited around distractions like bikes, skateboards, deer and dogs she doesn’t know.
Marleigh would make a great dog in a quiet home where she can chill with her person/people.
She will be 3 years of age in November. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. She is house trained. She rides well in a vehicle.
She is a nice dog, deserving of a home and family who understands the needs of a big, strong dog with a few issues.
If you are interested in meeting Marleigh, reach out to Vivian at 360.580.9927 or Facebook messenger.
The Salty Dog Animal Rescue is under the North Beach Senior Centers 501.c3 and is located in Ocean Shores, WA. 🐾
