You order a cup of coffee at your favorite coffee shop.
And when it’s handed to you, it’s… lukewarm.

Not hot.
Not cold.
Just... there.
Gross.

Now be honest.

Is that your faith?

You believe in Jesus.
You show up. Sometimes.
You pray when things fall apart.
You skip the parts that cost you.

Not all in.
Not all out.
Just sort of.

It feels safe.
Comfortable. Manageable.

You're not failing.
You're just not following.

Jesus said He'd rather you be hot or cold.
Because the middle looks fine from the outside, and empty on the inside.

Here's the good news.
He's not shaming you.
He's inviting you.

All in. Daily.

This Sunday, we start a new series. Following Jesus... Sort Of.

u’re angry. Someone at work, online, or at home ticked you off. We’ve all been there.

Here’s your action step this week:

NAME IT.

“Healing begins when denial ends”.

We disguise anger as frustration, stress, sarcasm, or silence. We excuse it with, “This is just how I am.”

Call it what it is. Then ask what’s underneath it. Did you feel disrespected? Overlooked? Like your worth was being questioned?

Someone’s opinion cannot change who you are in Jesus Christ. God made you. He wanted you here.

Name your anger.
Understand it.
Let Jesus shape your response.

Your anger doesn’t define you. He does.

Jesus never said, “You get what you deserve.”

And it’s a really good thing we don’t.

We have all sinned. We’ve all fallen short. But through Jesus, God offers us mercy and grace.

Mercy means we don’t receive the judgment our sins deserve.

Grace means we receive a gift we could never earn.

The gospel isn’t a scoreboard. It’s the good news that Jesus came to save us.

We don’t earn our way to God. We receive His grace through faith in Jesus. 🙌

Can God really make you happy?

If we’re honest, sometimes we’re not convinced He’s the one who can satisfy us most.

So we look for happiness somewhere else.

But God created pleasure. He created laughter. He created joy and relationships. Everything good comes from Him.

Holiness isn’t the enemy of happiness. Holiness is God’s pathway to happiness that lasts.

Where are you looking for happiness apart from God?

You’re scrolling. Everyone else looks like they’re winning.

And a quiet thought shows up: “Maybe this is what I deserve.”

The stalled plans.
The messy past.
The mistakes you can’t scroll past.

That thought — “Maybe this is what I deserve.” — sounds honest.

It isn’t.

Here’s what God says instead.

You are not your worst moment.
You never were.

The thing you did?
It happened.
It’s not who you are.

The shame says, “Own it forever.”
God says, “Bring it to Me.”

Not so you can be punished.
So you can be free.

Your worst chapter is not the final word.
Not even close.

Jesus didn’t say you get what you deserve.
He said something BETTER.

This Sunday, we continue Jesus Didn’t Say That — “You Get What You Deserve.”
Luke 23, verses 41 through 43.

You don’t defeat temptation when it arrives. You defeat it by deciding beforehand what you’ll do when it arrives.

Temptation is always a choice.
You choose it or God.

Pastor Mark gave us 2 action steps:

1. Ask yourself, “Where are you looking for happiness away from God?”

2. Take God’s exit plan.

God promises a way out of sin, not a way to manage sin comfortably.
