THEY SHOW UP. THEY CARE. THEY BELIEVE. ❤️

September 7–11 is Direct Support Professionals Week at The Arc Marion we’re celebrating some very special people.

Our DSPs are there for the victories that others may never see.

The first time someone masters a new skill.
The moment confidence replaces fear.
The laughter during a dance.
The high-five after a hard day.
The quiet moments when someone simply needs to know they’re not alone.

They don’t just support our clients.

They know them. They listen to them. They laugh with them. They believe in them. And they become part of their lives.

So this week, we asked our clients to describe their DSPs using hashtags.

You may come to work thinking you’re helping someone else live their best life. But the truth is, you’re part of what makes that life better.

Today, The Arc Marion participants got to experience something many of us might take for granted — getting out into the community, trying something new, creating memories, and simply being included.

At they had the incredible opportunity to make their own pretzels at Auntie Anne's 🥨

The smiles, the excitement, the pride… THAT is what community inclusion looks like.

For our participants, these outings mean independence. They mean connection. They mean being seen, being included, and being part of the community — just like everyone else.

❤️ Every experience matters. Every smile matters. Every opportunity to be included matters.
