Winter Driving Reminder-
Please remember that weather conditions in Garrett County can differ greatly from surrounding areas. When you leave your home in Pittsburgh, Baltimore, or near Washington, it might be 50°, but the higher elevation here makes a big difference.
Snow tires, chains, and 4x4 vehicles are essential for safe travel in winter. Remind yourself, your guests, and your family to use caution and avoid outdriving the conditions. Plowing begins after approximately four inches of snow, and ice can also present challenges.
Another reminder — no vehicles can be parked or left along roadways. The designated parking areas for winter purposes if you are stranded are, outside of the gate, inside of the gate, the Pavillion at Muddy Creek, or the Clubhouse. If you park at the office please leave the mailroom side available.
Unattended vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense. Contact Buddy’s Towing (301) 387-6455 for information about your vehicle if you have left it along the roadway.
