These dedicated women completed their Advocate training last week and are preparing to support families across our partner school communities through accompaniment, advocacy, and compassionate service.

It’s been one year since The Neighborhood Bridge launched the Advocate Program! 🎉

Since day one, our mission has been simple: ensure no family has to navigate essential human services alone. Whether it’s assisting with complex paperwork, navigating red tape, or providing a supportive presence at appointments, our Advocates are the "bridge" to the help families deserve.

The Impact So Far:
39 diverse, trained Advocates currently serving.
21 more volunteers needed by 2026 to meet the demand at our partner schools.

We are so grateful for the 39 individuals who have stepped up. Will you be one of the next 21?

In celebration of Women’s History Month, we want to take a moment to shine a spotlight on some of the incredible women who make The Neighborhood Bridge possible.

We simply could not support as many families or provide the level of service we do without the intelligence, empathy, and heart of these leaders. They are the driving force behind our mission!

Please join us in saying a huge "Thank You" to:
- Vimla Homan, Development Director
- Jackie Benson, Business Manager
- Kenna MacKinnon, Secretary of Corporation & Board Member
- Kimberly Walton, Board Member

We are so grateful for your dedication to our community. This work could not be done without you!
