We are a non-profit agency providing services to people with disabilities that reside in Eastern CT. We believe change starts with the individual, but the support of the community makes inclusion possible. Today marks the beginning of Disability Voting Rights Week.
People with disabilities have the same right to vote as everyone else. Accessible voting is fundamental to ensuring everyone can participate in elections. From helping a friend make a voting plan to checking whether a polling place is accessible, small actions can make a big difference.
Throughout this week, we'll share information about voting rights, accessibility, accommodations, and resources available to Connecticut voters with disabilities.
