Extended primary early voting today until 8pm

It’s Day 4 of Primary in-person Early Voting in Connecticut! If your town is having a primary, polls are open today from 8 A.M. to 8 P.M. Check your sample ballot at https://portal.ct.gov/sots/election-services/town-ballots/ballots and find your early voting location at MyVote.CT.gov. Prefer to vote on Primary Election Day? Mark your calendar for August 11.

Fyi folks, there is no same day registration for Primaries. However, Unaffiliated voters can come in and register for a party if they come in person to their local Registrar 's office by 8/10/2026

A reminder- early voting starts next week for the primaries. If you are a registered Democrat or Republican, please go out and vote. If you are not registered to vote, there is same day registration available at City Hall.

Remember, CT. has a closed primary system - which means if you are unaffiliated, or a member of another party you cannot participate in the primaries

Participants will enjoy a variety of hands-on activities, including a guided paint class, a cooking class where they'll make fresh pasta and cannolis from scratch, a self-defense class, yoga, a visit to the Mayor's Office, and more.

more than a century ago, thousands of Black men, women and children marched silently down Fifth Avenue in New York City in a protest against racial violence and lynching.

The "Negro Silent Protest Parade," organized by the NAACP, is considered the first major public protest against racial violence in U.S. history.

After a full day of learning, leadership, and networking at the NAACP National Convention, our Adult Delegates and members of the Robertsine Duncan Youth Council enjoyed an evening of celebration at the Juanita Jackson Mitchell Youth Awards Post Gala Party.

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow NAACP members from across the country, celebrate the achievements of our young leaders, and enjoy an unforgettable evening together.

Don't they all look absolutely fantastic? We are so proud of the way they continue to represent the Norwich Branch with confidence, professionalism, and pride.

This morning at the NAACP National Convention, our delegates had the opportunity to participate in the Legislative Session, where important issues affecting communities across the country were discussed.

Representing the Norwich Branch were both our Adult Delegates and members of the Robertsine Duncan Youth Council, who continue to learn, engage, and grow as leaders. Experiences like these provide valuable insight into the legislative process and the importance of civic engagement.

We are proud of our delegates for representing Norwich and for their commitment to learning, leadership, and service.
