This Giving Tuesday, Please Consider a Contribution to Our Annual Appeal!
Thank you to those who have supported and continue to support the efforts of the Norwich Historical Society! Your contributions have helped us make great progress in 2025, and will support some big plans for the upcoming years.
It’s been a busy year for the Norwich Historical Society. Renovations for the lower level event space at the David Greenleaf House have completed. The plans for the site work are ready, and that work will begin in the spring. The site work at the David Greenleaf House will make the new event space accessible, and will unite the Leffingwell House and David Greenleaf House as part of a single, coherent campus. We hosted a fun and well attended trivia event following our annual Light’s Out for Bennedict Arnold in front of Norwich City Hall, and welcomed local author and historian Dayne Rugh to discuss his book on John Durkee to a full house at this year’s Annual Meeting. This year’s Antient Ghosts of the Revolution tour during Walktober was our best yet!
The next few years will also be very important for the Norwich Historical Society, and for our partners in the city. We are eagerly anticipating the fully renovated David Greenleaf House, and we are actively planning for the future of our organization. We are very excited to be supporting local events to celebrate the semiquincentennial of the American Revolution in 2026. Additionally, it is crucial that we raise salary funds for staff so that we may continue our mission of protecting and promoting the rich history of Norwich.
Please support our work by making a tax-deductible contribution to either our general fund or endowment.
Your donations help us raise awareness of Norwich’s fascinating history and cultural destinations. Thank you very much for your support!
