Mission Statement: The Mount Desert Nursing Association’s mission is to improve the health, safety, and independence of the people of Mount Desert Island through the delivery of high quality and compassionate skilled nursing and other in-home health care services, advocacy, education and prevention programs. Please note special hours for Loan Closet Pickup/Drop off: MWF 9:30am-11:30am and T/Th 1

:30pm-3:30pm. At this time we do not need crutches, walkers, commodes, or shower chairs for donation.

Want to learn skills that could help save a life in an emergency? Join the Bar Harbor Fire Department for a Stop the Bleed training this October!

This hands-on training will teach participants how to recognize and respond to life-threatening bleeding and what to do when every second counts.

This training is open to the public! Whether you're a parent, caregiver, community member, or simply want to be better prepared for an emergency, this is a great opportunity to learn valuable, potentially lifesaving skills.

Today is a very special day - Katie Verville, our Clinical Manager, celebrates 8 years with MDNA! Katie began her journey at MDNA as an occupational therapist, helping patients regain strength and independence in their homes. Today, she is our Clinical Manager, supporting our wonderful team of clinicians day in and day out.

We are incredibly lucky to have such a talented and caring leader on our team. Katie played a key role in so many of MDNA's wonderful milestones in recent years - from growing our amazing team to 9 clinicians, caring for more patients than ever before in a single year, and most recently helping us achieve a 3.5-star from Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. 🤩

Happy 8th anniversary, Katie! We are so grateful for the heart you bring to this work. 🩷
