Incoming seniors this one is for you!

Know a Texas student who will be a high school senior next year? Have them sign up for our THRIVE program!

This learning experience is part of our Student Success Series.

Students participating in this program will develop public speaking and leadership skills, learn more about the free enterprise system and hear from engaging motivational speakers. Plus, they’ll dive deeper into digital advocacy efforts and participate in a media training.

Thrive will take place July 31 - Aug. 2 in Waco.

Registration closes July 14 and is limited to the first 150 students who sign up.

This year, the programs will be held in-person, and there are 8 locations.

Yesterday two of our North Zulch FFA members competed at the Area 9 SDE contest! Congratulations to Katie W for placing 2nd in the Agribusiness category and Zailey C for placing 4th in the Natural Resources category! Great job ladies!

A great day for North Zulch FFA at the Sam Houston Convention! We listened to some great officer candidates, heard from our current area officers and our amazing state president and listened to some great talent teams. We had 4 teams participate and all 4 received banners! Congratulations to Katie W 2nd Agribusiness Prepared Speaking, Zailey C 1st Natural Resources Public Speaking, Kelby C 6th Extemporaneous Speaking and Kasen P and Jade S 6th Talent! Good luck to Katie and Zailey as they advance to the Area 9 Contest next week!

Today three of our North Zulch FFA members competed at the Sam Houston District Speaking Development Contest! Great job to Kelby C, Zailey C and Katie W in each of their events! We are excited to hear their results at the district convention tomorrow!

Today the wool at the state contest at Texas Tech. It was not the finish we hoped for but they had a great run this season with lots of accomplishments to be proud of. Congratulations to the members of the state team Brayden S, Kelby C, Katie W and Jade S on a job well done! We would like to wish our seniors who competed in their last judging contest today the best of luck in their future endeavors!!!

Today some of our horticulture students had the opportunity to tour a water lily farm. They got to see thousands of plants, learn how to grow them and even got to come home with some tubers to experiment with. Thanks to Farm to Market Water Lilies for having us out and teaching us something new!

The poultry team competed at their state contest today at Texas A&M! This team is learns something every time they attend a contest and the state contest is always one of the best places to learn. Although the scores were not what we hoped competing against the best will always make us better! Congratulations to Thade B, Lily S, Macy C and Joshua G on a great season and we look forward to seeing what the returning members accomplish next year!!!

The North Zulch FFA floral team competed in the state contest today at Sam Houston! Although the results were not what we hoped the team learned a great amount. This bunch is young and full of potential! We can't wait to see what they accomplish in the future! Congratulations to members Grant C, Tanner C, Luke B, Mason M and Brilynn Collins on a great season!

Our last judging team competed at their area competition yesterday afternoon at Texas A&M. It is always a long wait for this group for results as they are not posted till the next morning. A special congratulations goes out to the wool team for placing 1st at the Area 9 Contest! The wool team is STATE BOUND!!!! We would also like to congratulate several team members for placing in the top 10 Katie W 1st, Brayden S 2nd, Kelby C 4th and Jade S 6th. Great job to all the members of this team!
