Background:
Since 2008, five children with life threatening disease called “Spina Bifida” had been saved because of the abiding commitment to the principles of goodness and generosity coupled with the determination and the leadership of a group of motivated professionals. Five children between the ages of 1 and 5 years old traveled from Algeria to the US under extraordinary circumstances to receiv

e treatment at US medical institutions. The successful action of saving the lives of the five children in the United States made news in North African countries and opened the door of hope to hundreds of other children living with the same life threatening conditions. Since then, telephone calls and emails had been pouring in from families and communities asking us for assistance and a chance to save their loved children. After years of hard work and challenges raising funds and searching for willing medical institution to admit additional children for treatment in the United States, we decided not to give up the fight and make our approach more focused and effective
