The Barton Center is a year-round camp, retreat and conference center where education, recreation and shared experiences combine to support and motivate children with diabetes and their families. The Barton Center operates several camping programs that include: Clara Barton Camp, Camp Joslin, Barton Day Camps, Barton Family Camp, Adventure Camps and several year-round weekend camp programs for children with insulin-dependent diabetes.

🎉 Our 2025 Annual Meeting was a tremendous success, and we were honored to welcome keynote speaker Dr. Eliezer Katz, MD, FACS, Chief Medical Officer of Eledon Pharmaceuticals.
As an organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and families living with type 1 diabetes, Barton is always excited to connect with leaders who are helping shape the future of diabetes care and research.

Eledon is working on innovative research focused on transplantation and immune system science, with ongoing studies exploring ways to protect insulin-producing islet cells in people living with type 1 diabetes. Their work represents exciting progress and reflects a shared commitment to improving quality of life for those affected by T1D.
We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Katz for sharing his insights and helping inspire important conversations around what is possible for the future of diabetes care.
