Today, marks the day, three years since our beloved Oscar died or I should say was killed. I've allowed the statute of limitations for legal action to expire, simply too painful to relive in a court of law. But none the less, it's time to tell his story, one of our greatest losses here.
On 2/2/23, Oscar's dental was postponed due to a uri. He was given a Convenia injection w/o consent after bloodwork revealed slight kidney insufficiencies. His dental care was done on 4/28, 5 teeth extracted, cleaning, polishing, and he did fine during the intervention. BUT he was given a second Convenia, again w/o consent.
Over the next six weeks, his downward spiral ensued; weight loss, lethargy, weakness, instability, lack of appetite. On 6/14, he was admitted to the Animal ER of the Strand. Bloodwork identified complete kidney impairment. Willing to spend any $ to save his young life, we began iv fluids, alternating the pm shift at the er, and with our vet for daytime. But that fateful Wed night, 6/15, the er vet administered dose #3; unaware that Convenia is STRICTLY CONTRA-INDICATED for all pets with even the slightest of renal issues. This eliminated any possibility for recovery from the first 2 doses, causing his irreversible state of kidney failure. Desperate, fearful, and anxiety ridden of losing him, we continued iv therapy over the next days. When I picked Oscar up Friday afternoon from our vet, the SEIZURES began before arriving back at the er. To my horror, my vet's invoice reflected, a 4th Convenia was given by someone in his office, 2 days after the third at the er. I still haven't worked up the nerve to ask who made such an unforgivable mistake, unsure if I want to know. And Sunday am, the call came. Oscar had passed, to date, one of the worst events of my life and another example for my distrust in poorly educated allopathic pharmaceutical based vet care. And EVERY ZOETIS product. The Convenia Killed My Pet group is disturbingly active, daily accounts from petowners, learning too late. I'll never forgive nor forget, I merely struggle to move forward daily here without Oscar.🙏 💔🙏

VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL PETOWNERS
Contrary to what vets may claim otherwise, our SC Rabies Statute calls for petowners to vaccinate pets for rabies, at a frequency to maintain continuous protection which can only be confirmed definitively by titer testing. Few vets are set up to provide this option affordably thru direct testing with Kansas State Veterinary Lab, most charge in excess of $200 if not more, using Ide### or Antech as middlemen, who in turn forward the serum to KVSL for expedited service. The significance of this, is that one rabies vaccine generally provides 7-10 years of protection and there no difference between the 1 and 3 yr vaccines except the # printed on the vaccine label. With 10-12 million new cases of cancer being diagnosed annually, resulting in 6 million deaths nationwide, compared to 600,000 shelter euthanasias, the statistics speak for themselves; the reason why vets don't take second rabies vaccines themselves after graduating vet school, and certainly not in the absence of titer testing. It's simply one of the most carcinogenic vaccines, when overdosed and the new UNSAFETY TESTED MRNA Technology being currently incorporated into pet vaccines is 100% LETHAL. Another important issue is that canine vaccines are not dose appropriate by weight, so the small breeds being administered the same 1 ml dose as their large sized counterparts are more susceptible to cancers at a quicker rate with the average lifespan now under 11 years old. My non-profit has 2 bite cases on file with SC DHEC which sets the legal precedent state-wide.
The Titersforpets.org website, immunologist Dr. Ronald Schultz, Nicolas Hulscher of the McCullough Foundation, and Dr. Judy Morgan's Naturally Healthy Pets have shared quite a bit of information, especially on the risks of the MRNA Technology and I urge you to educate yourself on this very important topic. We should have the healthiest pets here in South Carolina and this is the main focus of my non-profit, the health of our pets.
