Let me start by saying thank you to Studio 305, Home of The Rolle Project a movement built on passion, purpose, discipline, and community.
For over 20 years, Tyrell Rolle has dedicated his life to the arts, mentorship, and youth development through dance education and community outreach. Trained through some of the most notable institutions and companies in dance, he has had the honor of learning from and working alongside legendary pioneers including Judith Jamison, Arthur Mitchell, Christopher Huggins, Sylvia Waters, Anne Williams, Lula Washington, Joan Myers Brown, and many more whose artistry and leadership helped shape his vision as an educator and creative.
Originally building his foundation in Miami before expanding his work to Las Vegas, Tyrell Rolle has successfully led a dance conservatory and community arts program for over 11 years through Studio 305, Home of The Rolle Project. Built with the support of family, mentorship, and community, the organization has become more than a dance studio and it has become a safe space, a mentorship program, and a second home for so many young people throughout the city.
Through his leadership, students from all walks of life — including underprivileged, at-risk, homeless, and underserved youth and have been given opportunities to grow artistically, academically, and personally. Many students have gone on to magnet and performing arts programs, college pathways, professional opportunities, and leadership positions within their own communities.
Beyond the stage, Tyrell Rolle and continue to serve the Las Vegas community through city events, performances for local leaders and council members, senior citizen home visits, youth outreach, mentorship initiatives, and programs that inspire confidence, discipline, and self-worth. From young dancers taking their first class to high school students preparing for their futures, the mission has always remained the same: to change lives through dance, education, and love.
This Teacher Appreciation Week, we celebrate not only an educator and choreographer, but a mentor, community leader, and visionary.
