We did it!!! Despite less than favorable paddle conditions, 10 of our committee members completed the Isles of Shoals paddle on Saturday. See comment section for a link to the official photo gallery. There are some amazing photos captured by https://www.instagram.com/edmoranphotography

This event raised $10,000 for Blue Ocean Society for Marine Conservation and the Jetty Rock Foundation.

To date, SPC has raised more than $250,000 for local charities since 2015.

Congratulations to all of the paddlers, and a huge thank to our safety boat captains and donors for making this day possible!!!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I never meant to start a paddleboard club.

Thirteen years ago, I was simply trying to prove to my niece that I could paddle to the Isles of Shoals. I certainly wasn't thinking about organizing group paddles, beach cleanups, movie nights, or charity events.

Most of all, I wasn't thinking about nurturing a community.

But somewhere along the way, something happened.

You started showing up.

You brought your friends. You met new friends. You pushed yourself a little farther—and you pushed me to think of better ways to do this thing.

Last night was our final Tuesday Night Community Paddle of the summer. And, as has become a bit of a tradition, I was handed a card from the crew covered with signatures.

That card means more to me than you’ll ever know. But this year, it wasn’t the card itself that got me—it was the stories behind each signature.

Every name represented a connection. A friendship. A first paddle. A new adventure. A challenge overcome. A moment that mattered to you.

That's what SPC has become.

It's never really been just about paddling. It's about us—the people who keep showing up, the connections we make, and the memories we create together on the water.

I may not have meant to start a paddleboard club.

But I couldn't be more grateful for the people who turned it into a community. Thank you to all who make SPC so special!!! 🙌❤️🤙

When we say we've paddled to the Isles of Shoals in heavy seas, driving rain, and blinding fog, we mean it. This is never before seen footage from 2018 (aka "The Fog Year"). The marine forecast had the fog burning off by 9 am that day, but it stayed with us the entire way out and back. Visibility was 100 yards at best. That year, a team crew of OC1s joined us. At the 5:55 mark in the video, the paddlers make it to the IOS buoy, the opening to Gosport Harbor.
