Scholarships Totaling $48,000 Were Presented By The Rotary Club of Portsmouth—The tradition continued as 16 worthy high school seniors each received $3,000 to support furthering their education. Recipients and their family’s gathered with Rotarians, at their weekly luncheon held at the Portsmouth Country Club.

Congratulations to: Aadit Noble (UNH), Amelia Murphy (Pratt Institute), Anna Vitall (UNH), Anthony Ferola (Colby-Sawyer College), Emily Wentworth (McGill University), Kayla Roskilly (Eckerd College), Kelsey Campbell (UNH), Lauren Ramirez (Northeastern University), Lyla Caldwell (Miami University-of Ohio), Mason Beaudoin (College of the Holy Cross), Noelle Gagnon (Connecticut College), Rithika Rajavel (University of South Florida), Shaye McGrath (Boston University), Sydney Pettis (Worcester Polytechnic Institute), Thatcher Kindstedt (UNH), Zuri Wemple (Savannah College of Art and Design).

The Rotary scholarship tradition began in 1985. Applications are based on academic excellence, community service and financial need. Over time the club integrated specialized awards, within the program, to honor notable figures including philanthropist Joseph Shanley and cardiologist James Clayburgh, MD.

This year’s committee included, Tristan Shanley (chair), Caitlin Burke, Cindi Shanley and John St. Pierre.

Rain didn’t phase our amazing Rotarians! 🌧️💪

The Portsmouth Rotary Club was back at The Chase Home today to finish up the garden fence project, and despite the wet weather, volunteers showed up ready to work. Thanks to an incredible team effort, we made tremendous progress on a project that will help support The Chase Home gardens for years to come.

Even more meaningful — the gardens provided more than 1,200 pounds of fresh produce to Gather last year, helping nourish neighbors across our community. We’re proud to partner on projects that create lasting impact right here on the Seacoast.

What a great day of service and teamwork 🔨🌿

Portsmouth Rotary Club made incredible progress today on the garden fence project at The Chase Home!

Thank you to our amazing team of volunteers who rolled up their sleeves to help make a difference in our community.

Another group will be back tomorrow to finish the project and keep the momentum going!

Last year, The Chase Home gardens provided 1,200 pounds of fresh produce to Gather, making this project even more meaningful. 💙

Now that it finally feels like spring, it's time to get excited for the 33rd Annual Portsmouth Rotary Golf Tournament being held at Pease Golf Course on Friday, June 12th with a 9:00 AM start! ⛳️🏌️

Registration is open for participants and we still have several sponsorship opportunities available! (Many sponsorships include a foursome!) All registration fees include green fees, cart, practice range, breakfast items & lunch.

Congratulations to Albert J. Lantinen, Jr., MD, the 2026 recipient of the Portsmouth Rotary’s Gordon Allen Humanitarian Award! This prestigious award honors individuals whose life is guided by integrity, humanity and a deep commitment to betterment of community. Professionally Al dedicated his career to medicine, as an obstetrician/gynecologist. He was one of the founders of the Portsmouth Prenatal Clinic/Families First.

Within Rotary, he has been a tremendous hands on contributor. He embodies Rotary’s principle of Service Above Self. He also volunteers with: Crossroads House, Seacoast Pathways and the Salvation Army. He has served as treasurer, for Pro Musica and is known for his singing talents with the a ca****la group the Overtones.

Please join Rotarians in congratulating Al in receiving this well deserved recognition!
