💜💚🏈 I AM SERIOUSLY SITTING HERE CRYING… WHAT IS HAPPENING?! 😭

Just days ago, I was terrified we were going to have to cancel Kick Off for a Cause. We were watching the numbers, doing the math, stressing over money already committed, and wondering if all of this work would end with us having to say, “We tried.”

And then YOU GUYS SHOWED UP. 😭

We sold the tickets we needed. Then another Tailgate Teammate stepped up.

And now…

COMMUNITY BANK JUST TOOK TWO TAILGATE TEAMMATE SPONSORSHIPS. 😭😭😭

After weeks of worrying, freaking out, pushing, sharing, asking, hoping, begging and honestly wondering if we were going to have to make the heartbreaking decision to cancel…

WE SOLD ENOUGH TICKETS TO HOST KICK OFF FOR A CAUSE! 🎉😭💜🏈

We are officially GOING TO HAVE OUR FUNDRAISER! I called Riley and he is dancing around the house!!!!

And we can't even put into words what that means to us. Seriously…..

To EVERY SINGLE PERSON who bought a ticket, shared a post, told a friend, asked a coworker, talked to a neighbor, sent a text, or simply encouraged us when we were struggling…

THANK YOU. 💜💚 This Fundraising stuff is not for the faint of heart…..

This ...what happened this past week, this morning, is exactly what community is supposed to look like.

And while we have reached the number we needed to make the event happen, PLEASE DON'T STOP NOW! 🙏

We would absolutely LOVE to sell more tickets and fill this place up. The more people who come, the more successful this fundraiser can be…and ultimately, the more we can do for local pediatric cancer warriors and their families. 💜

THIS IS GOING TO BE AN INCREDIBLY FUN DAY!!!!

And we HAVE to give a HUGE shout-out to Christopher Shahin and his beautiful wife, Andrea Shahin. 😍

When ticket sales were slow and we were getting dangerously close to the point where this event might not happen, Chris and Andrea went into FULL COURT PRESS MODE. 🏈🔥

They didn't just share our post and wish us luck.

They pushed tickets.
They talked to people.
They reached out.
They shared.
They encouraged.
They kept pushing.
And between their efforts, they helped bring in 11 ticket sales! 😭🙌

Chris has been part of Riley's life for a very long time. He was once Riley's Camp Good Days counselor and mentor, and somewhere along the way, that relationship became a lifelong friendship.

Chris and Andrea…..thank you for believing in Riley, believing in Riley's Warriors, and believing that this event was worth fighting for. You are both amazing souls!!!

We are so incredibly lucky to have you in our corner. 💜💚

The event will take place next to ONeils Bar and Grill at 3904 Abbott Road, Orchard Park NY in coordination with Gameday Hospitality Hosted by Riley's Warriors Inc.
