Friends of the North Collins Musical A group created to show support for the North Collins Musicals/Drama Club It is quite literally a place for everyone with any interest and ability.

All you have to do is Google the importance of arts in schools and you will see hundreds of research articles explaining the amazing things it does for our children, as well as our community and beyond. This is why it is so important that we support and contribute to arts programs, who tend to get very little funding. The North Collins Musical is one such program, that would love to grow and thriv

e, but is limited due to financial constraints. We are hoping that fundraising and donations will help assist in filling the monetary void. The musical program allows our kids the opportunity to be part of a collaborative event that showcases their individual abilities, in a safe and inclusive community. It teaches them public speaking, problem solving, decision making, self-direction, and confidence. It creates opportunities to learn new skills and hone current skills such as: acting, painting, designing, managing, lighting, construction, costuming, sewing, makeup, to name a few. It introduces those involved to different aspects of art and culture, to new hobbies and possible school, career and business opportunities, and contacts after high school. Our town is small, with limited options for our children within our district, but the North Collins Musical is one thing that brings our community together. We have grandparents, parents, guardians, older and younger siblings, other family and community members, friends, teachers, staff, and alumni who support, volunteer and rally around our local musical. If we want to ensure that the Musical, as well as musical/theatre based workshops and field trips can continue and grow, we need your help. Your donation can have an impact on the experiences our youth have in our school.
