Hamburg Mutts for Freedom is an all breed, volunteer driven, 501(c)(3) non- profit organization founded by Natalie Pipitone Howes. We work to rescue many wonderful, loving dogs who would otherwise be forgotten and left to die in high kill shelters. Many of the dogs we save are sitting in high kill "compounds" (not even a shelter) that are not accessible to the public. Their only chance is a rescu

Asher is a 40-pound, low-key, lovable little dude looking for a home where he can live a wonderfully boring life.

Yup, you read that right. BORING. 😂

He doesn’t need constant entertainment. Give him a comfy blanket, a good bone, some sunshine to soak up, and a person to snuggle with, and he’s pretty much set. ☀️🦴❤️ He’s good with kids, does great in his crate, loves a car ride, and isn’t much of a barker.

Asher needs to be the only pet in the home—but honestly, that’s not a limitation! He’s actually doing you a favor. You’ll only have one vet bill, one bag of food to buy each month, and he’ll save you from that inevitable moment of weakness when you want to say, “Okay, fine… I’ll adopt ALL of the dogs!”

Still not convinced? Okay, how about this: he has proven to be far more effective at cleaning your floors than a Roomba 😂 crumbs beware!!

Asher is just a simple guy looking for a simple life with a boring fenced yard (a non-negotiable) and a boring family to have all to himself. WE KNOW YOU EXIST.

So, can we finally make one of life’s great mysteries make sense?

Norman—or “Normie” to his foster mom and dad—is a sweet, affectionate, handsome lad who has mastered the art of staying exactly one arm’s length away at all times… just in case ear massages, belly rubs, or head scratches suddenly become available. 😂❤️

His favorite hobby? Being adored. 🥰

🚶‍♂️ Loves walks and is making great progress with his leash manners
💨 Has a serious case of the zoomies and loves running around outside

Marsha gives off homecoming queen meets free spirit vibes. 👑🌿 She loves being queen of her castle and soaking up all the attention she can get. She also loves exploring the great outdoors and has just a little bit of that “I was born to be free!” energy. 😆

Marsha is looking for a family who can give her what she needs most right now: support, guidance, patience, and structure.

At this time, we are looking for a home where Marsha can be the only pet, with no small children. She will need time to decompress and acclimate to her new surroundings, so her ideal family will understand that settling in doesn’t happen overnight. We’re looking for someone willing to give her the time and consistency she needs to learn what life in a structured home looks like.

Once Marsha knows she’s safe, loved, and understands the rules, we think she’s going to make one pretty amazing best friend. ❤️
