Paws First Rescue

Paws First Rescue Paws First Rescue is a charitable organization dedicated to the welfare of homeless dogs. The ladies of Paws First have been active in rescue since 2002.

They are involved in many aspects of rescue, including years of being a licensed volunteer State Humane Investigator (now retired). They work with many rescue partners and look forward to many more years helping dogs in need. Paws First Rescue is fully foster based with no physical shelter or office. All dogs live in volunteer foster homes. Dogs can stay in foster care as little as a week or as lo

ng as a year or more. Each dog is spayed or neutered and given age appropriate vet care before being available for adoption. PFR often takes special needs dogs such as burns, eye issues, orthopaedic issues, deaf, and more. These dogs have medical costs far above their adoption fee, making fundraising necessary at times. Donations are always appreciated and are tax deductible. Donations can be made via GiveMN.org or paypal.me/pawsfirstrescue. Paws First Rescue is a 501(c)3 charity under the IRS tax code.

Annie is just Begging to be adopted!

While she may appear to be an adult, Annie is only three months old. She has teeny tiny baby teeth. She’s just a big girl. What breed is she? You get to pick! Our best guess is that she is border collie or Australian Shepherd type, mixed with a variety of other things, including possibly some Saint Bernard, rough collie, maybe a splash of Anatolian. Annie is a really beautiful and unique girl. She’s only three months old, and growing like crazy. She has long legs and a super long tail. Annie is a mixed breed. Mixed with what? We have no idea. She looks like an Australian Shepherd, or border collie type, maybe with some rough collie, or St. Bernard, or 12 other things. Meet Annie!

This darling girl may look like an adult, but she is only about 12 weeks old and 25-30 pounds. She is a beautiful mixed breed. Mixed with what? We don’t have a clue. In the photos, she looks like an Australian Shepherd. In person, she may have a splash of this, that, St. Bernard, who knows. Annie is very sweet and social. She gets along with other dogs very well.

Annie is the victim of “last puppy syndrome”. All of her brothers and sisters were sold or adopted out and she’s just hanging around. So she came to us to find a forever family. Annie is posted on Petfinder now.

This kid is an absolute hoot. Wilbur loves toys and he has fallen in love with this weird little flying squirrel toy. He chases it, he fetches it, and he buries it. His foster mom has found it buried in the sand, buried in the grass, and buried in his bed. Wilbur is four months old and ready for a home all of his own. Daisy is a giant cuddle bug and is waiting for a family all of her own to come along to snuggle with her. Can you believe this girl has not had one single application? We can’t! Daisy is only a year-old, she weighs 108 pounds, and she is likely a Great Daniff. Daisy is house trained, crate trained, and knows multiple commands.
