Gib Orwoll was Superintendent (1922 to 1958 - 36 years).

Jared Rene in the striped shirt. Zac Phillip is the tall kid behind Jared Rene. Brent Mattson is smaller kid in the white tee and long sleeved shirt. Jason Stepp is behind Joe Lewellin. Behind Jason is Scott Anderson. Scott is the kid with glasses. I can’t recall the name of the kid to the far right.

Significant NBHS alumni passing – Sharalyn (Blomquist) Olson, Class of 1958, passed away on April 2, 2026 at the age of 85. Sharalyn had life-long ties to the Almelund community in addition to the North Branch Olson family through husband Carrol (“Butch”) Olson. Sharalyn was the 1958 Homecoming Queen.
