Our Medical Forensic team, Bree and Alisha, recently had the opportunity to train at Essentia Health Emergency Department in Sandstone . They trained 24 emergency department staff on forensic exams, evidence collection, documentation, and medical advocacy. Family Pathways also joined us to discuss their services in Pine County.

Thank you, Sandstone Essentia Health, for understanding how important this training is for victims/survivors of sexual violence.

💜 A Gift That Continues to Make a Difference

During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Family Pathways is grateful to receive a generous $35,000 donation from Roxie’s Hope.

Presented following Roxie’s Hope receiving the Margaret Johnson-Barr Award at our Awareness & Empowerment Dinner, this gift will directly support survivors and their children staying at our Minnesota domestic violence shelter.

Although Roxie’s Hope announced the end of its nonprofit operations earlier this year, its impact will continue through this generous contribution, helping provide safety, support, and hope to survivors when they need it most.

We recently said goodbye Colleen Wilbur, a beloved member of our Family Pathways family. She was much more than our Assistant Manager at the North Branch Store. She was a friend and one of those people who helped make work feel a little more like home.
Colleen cared deeply about Family Pathways and her coworkers. She was someone you could count on, whether you needed help solving a problem, an extra set of hands, or simply someone to listen. She worked hard, led by example, and wanted the best for everyone around her.
But what many of us will remember most is the laughter she brought. Colleen had a way of turning the simplest moments into inside jokes that lived on. Whether it was her famous "Yikes!", her insistence on saying "sesquicentennial" in her own unique way, or repeating something funny someone did because she knew it would make everyone laugh again, she had a gift for bringing joy to those around her. Every Christmas season, you could count on her requesting "Merry Christmas" said in that mariachi-style. If you know, you know.
One coworker shared a memory of the time they went outside during break to build a snowman and proudly sent a picture. When asked about it, Colleen's response was, "Of course we were on break! We would NEVER break the rules!" Another favorite memory involves a coworker walking into the back room announcing, completely out of character, "I'm just so mad!" which immediately sent Colleen into uncontrollable laughter.
That's who Colleen was. She made people laugh and feel welcome. She made hard days easier and good days even better. She built friendships that went far beyond the walls of the store, and the impact she had will never be forgotten. She continued relationships and attended the Retiree Coffee Club…even though we all know she despised coffee.
The North Branch store won't be the same without her. There is a space on our team and in our hearts that can never truly be filled. We are grateful for every laugh, every story, and every memory she gave us.
Colleen wasn't just part of Family Pathways. She was part of our family. We will miss her deeply, remember her often, and carry a piece of her with us every day. ❤️

A big THANK YOU to everyone who donated and was entered for a chance to win. Your generosity helped make our food drive a huge success! If you missed our post last week, together we collected an incredible 1,411 pounds of food to donate to the local Family Pathways food shelf!

Thank you to our amazing community, employees, families, and friends for coming together and helping us make a difference. We couldn't have done it without you!

😲 THIS SATURDAY ALREADY?!?! 💚

Just want to drop a reminder. As we do every year, we support the local food shelf Family Pathways and encourage those who can wouldn’t mind donating to this cause. The holidays are right around the corner and those meals are especially important.

Also we LOVE supporting St Jude’s Children's Research Hospital and we donate all the proceeds from our Pick Your Poison. Bring your dollars and donate to a great cause, children’s lives!

Don't forget spectators are FREE to join us. So come on out too, bring the kids and get another use of their costume & candy bags as we encourage all the show cars to bring candy for the kiddos and give a Halloween display on their show car.

This is a NO PETS ALLOWED event. Please keep your furry companions home where they will be the happiest.
