We’re pleased to recognize Susan M. as our May Employee of the Month. A Resident Services Aide, Susan has been a valued member of the Edgewood team since 2009. Her teammates consistently praise her for going above and beyond, noting that it is always evident when Susan has provided care because everything is impeccable.

Residents describe Susan as calm, thorough, and compassionate. Her gentle nature helps all residents feel comfortable accepting help with personal tasks. When asked how she approached a situation where a resident was reluctant to change into nightclothes, Susan explained that she warmed the resident’s pajamas in the dryer, so she’d feel more comfortable. This thoughtful act reflects Susan’s commitment to personalized, dignified care and highlights the meaningful difference she makes each day.

Thank you, Susan, for all you do to support the well-being of residents and families we serve at Edgewood.

We recently sat down for a chat with Anne Bajor (bay-jer), the new Life Enrichment Wellness Specialist at Edgewood and our sister community, The Baldwin. Anne first began working with our communities as a contractor, filling in and teaching Pilates when her predecessor, Nancy Ryan, was preparing to retire. Now, four months since starting her official full-time role in early 2026, Anne is hitting her stride and loves being part of the communities. When asked what she loves most about her job, she says, "It's truly the human connection." Residents and guests recently had the pleasure of viewing an exhibit of watercolor landscapes painted by Edgewood resident Ed Moscovitch. The opening reception took place in our art gallery with musical entertainment provided by resident Dr. John Truman on bagpipes, and a wine and cheese tasting hosted by Chef Nate. It all made for a wonderful afternoon filled with smiles, lively conversation, and appreciation for the depth of talent on show.

With signs of spring emerging all around, members of Edgewood's photography club had lots to focus on during a recent walk around our campus. Daffodils, tulips, pansies, snowdrops, forsythia, and more put on a show of color — announcing the season of renewal had finally arrived. Thank you to all who shared these beautiful photos!

When Nancy moved to Edgewood from Chagrin Falls, Ohio, she never imagined how many threads from her past would reappear. From neighbors who once lived in Chagrin Falls to shared connections through music, school, and even a sorority sister, echoes from her past kept resurfacing in surprising ways. “It truly is a small world,” she says. Six local high school students recently gave talks to a group of Edgewood residents. The students shared their personal reflections about six Edgewood residents they had interviewed previously as part of a Friends Forever International project. Friends Forever is a non-profit headquartered in Durham, NH that offers leadership programs to empower young people to become their best selves so they can help their communities thrive. It was fascinating to learn what each student took from their interview and gratifying for residents who’ve made new friends with the next generation of leaders in the community.
