Don't forget to join us this Thursday (6/25) at Stonecloud Brewing in Oklahoma City for our next Renewabrews networking event! We will have the Lager Lounge (in the back of Stonecloud) starting at 4:30 for folks to come and chat and mingle. At 5 PM, we'll kick off our Solar Panel. We'll talk utility-scale, commercial, residential, solar energy myths and misconceptions, policy, and more! Come enjoy a delicious drink and even better company ☀️

Join us next Thursday at Stonecloud Brewing in Oklahoma City for our next Renewabrews networking event! We will have the Lager Lounge (in the back of Stonecloud) starting at 4:30 for folks to come and chat and mingle. At 5 PM, we'll kick off our Solar Panel, where Jarrod Beckstrom (Apex Clean Energy), Lindsey Pever (A New Energy LLC and leadership for the former Oklahoma Solar Association, which is now part of OREC), Jeffrey Jarrett (Tribe Solar), and Paul Brunson (EightTwenty) will join us to discuss solar energy from all sides. We'll talk utility-scale, commercial, residential, solar energy myths and misconceptions, policy, and more! We hope you'll join us to celebrate the summer solstice by talking about the sun as a splendid source of energy ☀️

Don't forget about our June monthly meeting tomorrow in Norman! We'll hear from the OU Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis about the preliminary results of their most recent survey wave, which included questions around what Oklahomans know about our energy generation mix, their perspective on the impacts of various energy generation infrastructure types on the landscape, thoughts around private property rights, and other pertinent topics surrounding energy development in Oklahoma!

And as always, we'd love to chat if you and/or your organization is interested in contributing to OREC, becoming a member, and/or sponsoring a future meeting.

Join us to hear an update on the 2026 legislative session. We are super excited to be joined by Lindsey Pever (Attorney at A New Energy, LLC) and Jonathan Gray (Founder & Principal of Triton Capitol Group). Our panelists will share a bit about what we saw this legislative session and what we might expect to see come back in the 2027 session. We're extending our meeting by 30 minutes, to be sure we have time for questions and answers. As a reminder, our meetings are always a "come and go" approach - if you need to arrive late or leave early, we still encourage you to join us! All our monthly meetings are also open to the general public. Virtual option will be provided, the information has been provided via our list serv. Hope to see you there!

We will be joined by Stacy Yates from Power Up Oklahoma, an organization that believes advanced energy is essential for building a stronger, more competitive state for the benefit of every Oklahoman. Stacy will discuss a bit about PUO, what they do, and how you can get involved. We will be meeting virtually, Zoom info has been sent out via our list serv!

We're excited to have Jeff Risley, Executive Director of Renewable Energy Farmers of America, join us tomorrow! REFA is a national farm trade group founded by farmers and ranchers to bring together landowners who are hosting or considering hosting renewable energy projects. REFA provides a network of resources to help navigate that decision, and we're excited to learn more about what they've been up to and what's on the docket for 2026!
