Jessamine County FFA Jessamine County FFA provides extracurricular and academic opportunities for students from West Jessamine and East Jessamine High Schools.

With its home at the Jessamine Career and Technology Center, the Jessamine County FFA promotes the personal and professional growth of agriculture students through Career Development Events, Supervised Agriculture Experiences, and classroom instruction.

As this semester comes to a close, we want to recognize and thank Leslie Monhollen for all of her hard work during her student teaching experience at JCTC!

Ms. Monhollen has been a phenomenal teacher, role model, and positive influence in our program. Her dedication to students, passion for agricultural education, and willingness to jump in and help wherever needed have made a lasting impact on both our students and staff.

She is going to be severely missed around the classroom and shop, but we are excited to see all the great things her future holds. We wish her the very best of luck as she begins the next chapter of her teaching career!

What a great “Fry-Day” in our Wildlife Resources Class! 🐟🐔🥗

Today, students celebrated the conclusion of our Harvest Event with our annual in-class harvest dinner. Throughout the semester, students have worked hard raising tilapia, broiler chickens, and lettuce while learning valuable lessons in agriculture, food production, responsibility, and sustainability.

There is something special about seeing a project come full circle — from daily care and management to preparing and enjoying a meal together as a class. We are incredibly proud of the hard work, dedication, and teamwork our students demonstrated throughout this experience!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this event successful. It truly was a fantastic “Fry-Day”!

Spring Broiler Chicken Sale!!!

Just in time for Summer Break, our fresh pasture-raised broiler chickens are ready for you! Our students have raised these birds over the past few months and were able to process them this week at the KSU Mobile Processing facility in Frankfort.

All proceeds from these sales go to support future school-based livestock projects at JCTC!

Our community is AMAZING! The support you have shown to our students is so great! We are so thankful for all of you!!!

The students have decided that they want to open the greenhouse two more days to try to sell the rest of the plants we have left!

We WILL BE OPEN for our FINAL sale days Thursday and Friday this week!! 3-6pm!

Please come out and purchase the rest of the plants these amazing students have worked so hard on!

* We still have a variety of flowers, some herbs and some veggies left if you need to finish out your gardens*

Happy Mother’s Day Weekend! We have a surprise for you! Our JCTC greenhouse WILL BE OPEN TOMORROW! We have had many requests to be open and the students are making it happen!
