Join us on Thursday, Sept 3rd for the 4-H & FFA Investment in Youth Livestock and Ham Sale. Sale will begin at 6:30 pm at the Livestock Barn. Farm Bureau will have a customer appreciation dinner at the Fairground Pavilion beginning at 6:00 pm. Come support our Young 4-Hers.

These young people work hard to complete various 4-H projects, enter them into the county fair, and earn their way to the state fair! A lot of hard work goes into these projects! Our young people did wonderfully!!!!!

Special shout out to Abby Walker! Her “Jr. Creative cookies” got Reserve Grand foods! That’s out of ALL foods entries!!! 🍪👩‍🍳🍀

We’ve had a GREAT few days exhibiting livestock at the state fair!!! Our kids and families pour into their projects and work so hard on the path to the state fair!

What a great day at the state fair!!
We are SO proud of our Jessamine County Youth!

We had 27 youth give a country ham speech and their country hams were judged!

They all dressed for success, and did GREAT! We had two young folks, Jacob Simpson and Ellie Combs get call backs which means they were higher scores in their room.

Judah Dunn won 3rd overall in his age group, which is combined ham and speech score. Emmett DeBolt won 3rd in his age group in speeches.

Over at the dairy show Haylee Tucker showed her Guernsey cattle, winning her showmanship age group and making it to the Guernsey showmanship drive.

Haylee is serving this year at the State FFA Reporter! It will be a busy state Fair for her! We are proud of her achievements and earning state office in FFA!

Jessamine and surrounding area!!! We need you!

The Nicholasville Police Department is in desperate need of bikes for their neon bike ride. If anyone has a bike, they are needing to get rid of, let us know!! If you can get it to the extension office or to me I can get it to the PD!!!

I have also been told that if it is broken, they can replace whatever is needed! Thank you in advance!

I KNOW some of our 4-H families can help out with this, having outgrown bikes sitting around!! Let’s show NPD what we can do to help them! They support 4-H in so many ways, it’s now time to support them!!

🎉 Huge congratulations to Jessamine County’s own Brody Gray! 🎉

Brody has been selected to serve on the 2026-2027 Kentucky 4-H State Teen Council! Alongside more than 60 teen leaders from across the state, he will help with state-level programming, participate in service projects, serve as an ambassador for Kentucky 4-H, and continue growing as a leader.

We are incredibly proud of Brody and this exciting accomplishment. Please join us in congratulating him! 🍀👏

We still have some Lost and Found from 4-H Camp. Our office will be closed on July 3rd for 4th of July holiday.
