The Newport Sings Board of Directors is thrilled to welcome two new members this fall! 🎉🍂

Meg O'Neil is the Visitor Experience Manager at the Preservation Society of Newport County and has been a member of Newport Sings since the spring of 2023, singing in both Quorus and Aquidneck Singers.

Kim Quental joined the Board in September 2026 and is serving as the Newport Sings Board Treasurer. She has been a member of Aquidneck Singers since January 2026. Kim is the CFO and COO of Apogee Systems Corporation.

Thank you to both Kim and Meg for joining the team, and helping us spread the JOY and POWER of singing in community with others. 🫂🎼

Throwback Thursday to the 2026 Lavender Honors Ceremony! 🪻🎓Quorus is honored to be a continued collaborator with Salve Regina’s LGBTQ+ Alliance as part of their annual Lavender Honors Ceremonies.

As Newport Sings commits to discovering the joy and power of singing in community with others, we hope to serve as an example of how young adults can find their voice in the community, too. 🫂

The gorgeous autumn sunset was the perfect backdrop for our sip and shop fundraiser at Alva's Attic last week. Thank you to Beth and her team for hosting such a fun event, and for all who came to join us!

Shop for new-to-you clothes to spice up your wardrobe and support the Newport Sings mission! Visit Alva’s Attic in Middletown on Thursday to find gently loved clothes that will vamp up your closet. Newport Sings will receive 40% of the sales. Light snacks and beverages will be served.

Newport Sings proudly provides opportunities for youth and adults to discover the joy and power of singing in community with others. Funds raised on October 8 will directly support our growing programs, including the Newport County Youth Chorus, Aquidneck Singers, Quorus, Community Sing and Luminous Voices.

Sign up now, all are welcome. Not sure if you’re ready to join? Our Open Class and Bring a Friend day is right around the corner, on Thursday, October 8 at Calvary United Methodist Church, 200 Turner Road, Middletown.

Discover the joy of singing together at our NCYC Open Class and Bring a Friend 2026 🎶

This relaxed session lets you experience what it’s like to sing with the Newport County Youth Chorus! Share the music by inviting a friend 👫. You’ll warm up, learn a piece with the group, and get a feel for our inclusive, creative community where every voice is welcome.

Join us on Thursday, October 8 at Calvary United Methodist Church, 200 Turner Road, Middletown.

4:00 - 5:00 pm: Prep Chorus for students in grades 1 - 4.
5:15 - 6:15 pm: Pre-Teen and Teen Chorus for students in grades 5 - 8.
