Sometimes awareness is simply helping people understand that Type 1 Diabetes is more than injections and carb counting.
It’s alarms in the middle of the night.
It’s making hundreds of decisions a day.
It’s balancing sports, school, food, stress, sickness, growth spurts, hormones, and insulin.
It’s technology helping, while still knowing a person has to do the work behind every number.
Most people mean well. They just don’t realize how much goes into keeping someone alive with Type 1 Diabetes every single day. 💙
