This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, survivors from the Sigma Zeta Omega Chapter are sharing words of wisdom, encouragement, and hope for women navigating a new diagnosis.

Their journeys are different, but their message is powerful: You are not alone. There is strength in community, hope in the journey, and power in sharing your story.

Whether you’re newly diagnosed, currently fighting, or supporting someone you love, we hope these heartfelt messages remind you that you don’t have to walk this journey alone.

Thursday, members of Sigma Zeta Omega Chapter enjoyed connecting with students at ASPIRA Charter High School College & Career Fair.

Students were engaged, asked thoughtful questions, and we loved seeing their enthusiasm and curiosity as they explored opportunities for their futures.
Of course, the pink and green were a hit! Every student who visited our table shared their love for our signature colors. We were excited to share Career Compass books, wristbands with encouraging messages, candy, and valuable financial aid resources to help students navigate their next steps.

We are proud to Champion Service by equipping students with knowledge, encouragement, and resources to recognize their potential and pursue their dreams. The future is bright, and we are honored to help students see the possibilities that lie ahead!

On Sunday, we were truly honored to be recognized by the NAACP Newark, Delaware Branch for our dedicated service and meaningful contributions to the community.

To be acknowledged by an organization with such a rich legacy of advocacy, civil rights, social justice, and community empowerment is both humbling and deeply meaningful. For more than a century, the NAACP has worked tirelessly to advance equity, champion justice, and strengthen communities. To have our chapter’s commitment to service recognized by an organization that has made such a profound impact is an honor we will always cherish.
The members of Sigma Zeta Omega are filled with gratitude. We are thankful and truly blessed to be a blessing to Newark, Delaware, and the surrounding communities. This recognition reaffirms our commitment to serving with purpose, advocating for meaningful change, and partnering with organizations that share our vision for a stronger, more equitable future.

As we celebrate this moment, we remain committed to continuing the work alongside organizations like the NAACP, knowing that there is still work to be done and that our collective voices and actions matter.

As November 3 approaches, we also encourage our communities to ROCK THE VOTE! Let your voice be heard, make a plan to vote, and remind others that civic engagement is an important part of creating the change we wish to see.

Following our October chapter meeting, members of the Sigma Zeta Omega Chapter rolled up their sleeves and hit the streets to clean our adopted highway at Routes 40 & 7!

Through our commitment to environmental responsibility, we’re doing our part to create cleaner, greener communities and make a lasting impact beyond our chapter walls.

Additionally, we will show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by wearing Pink Breast Cancer clothing or pink attire.
