Today, we pause to reflect on the true meaning of Memorial Day and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

On behalf of VFW Post 7987, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our members, Auxiliary, Honor Guard, volunteers, guests, and everyone who attended our Memorial Day Service. Your presence helped make this a meaningful and respectful tribute to our fallen heroes.

Together, we honored their legacy, remembered their sacrifice, and reaffirmed our commitment to never forget those who gave everything for our freedom.

Thank you for standing with us and helping keep the spirit of remembrance alive.

May we always honor their memory and carry forward the values they fought to protect.

Today, on Memorial Day, we pause as a nation to remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and selfless devotion to freedom will never be forgotten.

At Chester McKay VFW Post 7987, we honor not only the fallen heroes whose names are etched in history, but also the families who carry their memory each and every day. Memorial Day is more than a holiday — it is a solemn reminder of the true cost of freedom.

As Post Commander, I ask our community to take a moment today to reflect, remember, and give thanks to those who gave everything so that we may live free. Let us continue to support one another, uphold the values they fought for, and ensure their legacy lives on through our actions and our unity.

To all of our departed comrades — we remember you, we honor you, and we will never forget your sacrifice.

🎶🕺 What a far out night at VFW Post 7987! 💃🪩

Disco Night was a great success, and we want to thank everyone who came out and had an amazing time at our 70s party! The music, dancing, laughter, and groovy outfits made for a truly unforgettable evening.

A very special thank you to Jim Huebner, Heather Buka, and Bonnie Bacon for all their hard work setting up and decorating the post. Your efforts truly brought the disco spirit to life!

And thank you to Larry Brock for the wonderful music and dance fun that kept everyone moving all night long!

Events like this show the true spirit of camaraderie and community here at VFW Post 7987.
